You get back to the truck, drop your pack, and somebody asks how it went.

“Didn’t see a thing” usually isn’t the end of it. There was a plan. Somebody changed it. Somebody forgot something. And there’s a part you’ll still be talking about next season.

That’s what we want HuntShak to be for. A place to sit with those stories long enough to hear the good parts.

You don’t have to clean it up for us.

First hunt or fiftieth season, we’d rather hear how it actually went. The animal matters. So do the people, the work, and the times you came home empty-handed.

We’re getting the first episodes together and opening the door for stories from other hunters. There’ll be gear talk too—the sort you have while unloading the truck.

If something comes to mind, send it over. It doesn’t need to read like a magazine article.
