Field notes
What earned its place in your pack?
A useful gear conversation starts with the job, the conditions, and the tradeoffs.
Before a recommendation, we want the context. What did you need the piece of gear to do? Where did it help, and where did it fall short?
Our gear coverage will be editorial: useful field notes, clear limitations, and room for different budgets and approaches. No checkout. No pressure to buy.
Product tests and affiliate links will appear only when there is a real review to support them. Any affiliate relationship or supplied sample will be disclosed beside the recommendation. We haven’t published product reviews or affiliate links yet.
